Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Cream - Review

Hello beautiful! Hope you are having a great day.

Today's Brand :Benton
Benton is one of the most popular Korean brands especially amongst people with troubled skin....like me! Benton was looking for people to test out their new release: Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Cream. Before this i hadn't actually tried any Benton products ( but i had heard a greattttt amount of praise) so i signed up! I received this products 2 weeks ago and i was meant to review this product in a week but:
😔 I had a reaction from another product so my skin was very sensitive and on applying this product my face stung
😔 I week isn't enough to give a full honest review ( I spend months trying out products)

But here it is:

Benton's Story
"Benton’ is inspired by and named after the movie’ The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ in which Benjamin Button grows younger with time. In the movie, Benjamin had no choice but to leave his love, Daisy as he becomes younger. What if Daisy could have also turned back time on her physical appearance, wouldn’t she be happier?
It may just be a fictional movie, but wouldn’t most people have the same desire to be young again? Benton desires to restore your skin back to its original, healthy condition with healthy recipes, rather than to give temporary effects with harmful ingredients. Benton presents freshly made products by sticking to small batch production."
Button was first pronounced Benton by one of the creators of Benton and that's how they came up with the name of the brand 😊

Product

Claims
It is supposed to have a light texture, to be suitable for summer, to have a moist finish and not matte, and its formula is mild. It also contains mainly naturally derived ingredients.
  • Lightweight texture
  • Cacao extracts for dewy complexion
  • Suitable for summer
  • Naturally derived, mild cream
  • Perfect for all skin types
First Impression
The cream is a slightly translucent white creamWhen you start spreading it, it feels watery and so it sinks in immediately. Once it's absorbed there is no stickiness~ Perfect! It dries to a healthy dewy finish and feels pretty moisturising. Since this is meant to be for summer if you have dry skin and want to use it in winter it won't be enough. I personally really like using it under my makeup and it acts like a primer brightening my skin.
There is NO added fragrance. However there is a faint scent~ so not too unbearable. I really like it!

Before you look at the next picture: WARNING: I have a lot of hairs on my arms! Cons of having light skin and black hair: waaaah!

Ingredients
Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract (63%), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter (10%), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Water, Sorbitan Olivate, 1,2-Hexandiol, Pentylene Glycol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyglutamic Acid, Madecassoside, Beta-Glucan, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum

Ingredient spotlight
Cocoa:packed with polyphenols which possess antioxidant activities . Antioxidants that help repair skin cells and neutralise harmful free radicals. They help protect skin against external stressors like ultraviolet radiation (You MUST still use  a sunscreen!) or aggression by pathogens.  Antioxidants are really important and many say it is the key to beautiful skin and body!
Glycerinused as a moisturiser to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations. (I have a hugee bottle of glycerin at home!)
Humectants: Such as Butylene Glycol, Glycerin,Sodium Hyaluronate  (these draw hydration into skin)

Cocoa seed butter contains a high proportion of saturated fats and is emollient, overall a great moisturizer!
Studies show the effects of cocoa polyphenols on several indicators of skin elasticity and skin tonus, namely, glycosaminoglycans and collagen I, III and IV (available here).

Conclusions from
Cocoa polyphenols cause an increase in:
in epidermal thickness
collagen density and collagen expression

Furthermore, when applied in conjunction with cocoa polyphenols, cocoa butter exhibits an enhancing effect on the parameters assessed, which means it's interesting to combine cocoa extract and cocoa butter as Benton did with this cream.

It also contains Madecassoside ( My favourite youtuber made an amazing video on it here,) a wound healing ingredient with anti-inflammation and antioxidant properties.

My experience:
I really like this! This is now my favourite cream for summer. It is hydrating but not sticky and the moisture lasts a long time! I use it under my makeup, after washing my face, when i feel like my skin is going to turn into a Sahara desert~ Yep that is how dry it can be! My brother (has oily skin) actually ❤️️'s this! He has stopped using his Nivea cream(which has been our family favourite) and really like to use this.

Rating: Out of 5 ❤️️
Smell: ❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️ (for me it is tiny bit strong but not overbearing)
Appearance: ❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️ (beautiful packaging!)

Final comment: A great product and would make a nice gift! Nothing better than getting compliments on your skin. Right?
